Veteran TV actress Marin Hinkle, who plays the ex-wife of Alan Harper (Jon Cryer) on the CBS comedy " Two and a Half Men," has bought a house in Cheviot Hills for $1.74 million.

The 1924 French Normandy home was completely renovated. The three-bedroom, three-bathroom house has arched doorways, pocket doors and antique fixtures. The kitchen has detailed cabinetry from the exclusive British firm, Smallbone. There are also imported granite countertops and state-of-the-art appliances. The bathrooms were updated to include marble and limestone floors and imported fixtures.

The home had been on the market for just 16 days at $1,899,000 when Hinkle bought it. It was listed last spring for a few months at $1,995,000 and then withdrawn.

Hinkle, 42, who has appeared as Judith Harper in 67 episodes of "Two and a Half Men" from 2003 to '09, played Judy Brooks in 58 episodes of "Once and Again" from 1999 to '02. She has also appeared in " Private Practice," "House M.D." and " My Own Worst Enemy."

Sally Forster Jones of Coldwell Banker Beverly Hills East office and Benjamin S. Lee of Coldwell Banker Beverly Hills North office shared the listing. The buyer was represented by David Findley of Sotheby's International Realty, Brentwood, according to the Multiple Listing Service.
